Born and raised in Sea Cliff, New York, Jordon Nuttall was exposed to photography at an early age by his father, a well-respected graphic artist in the advertising industry. After moving to the city to attend the School of Visual Arts, Nuttall was fortunate to find himself assisting some of the most well-respected names in photography, including Ruven Afandor, Robert Maxwell, David Lachapelle and Matthew Rolston. Under their tutelage, Nuttall cultivated his aesthetic sensibilities and learned to refine his technical skills. He was particularly influenced by his time with Matthew Rolston, whose devotion to the Hurrell style of glamour photography was paramount to informing Nuttall’s future work, helping him to develop the elegant and fearless style that is inherent in all his professional and personal projects today.
Jordon Nuttall lives and works in Los Angeles.
